Since this is my last week in Melbourne, I feel that it’s about the time to update what’s happening in my life. I still have a couple of days left at work and at the end of this week, I’ll fly to Adelaide to start my 5 weeks full of adventures. On the one hand, I feel really sad to leave the best city in the world and to say goodbye to my lovely roommates and the people I’m working with. These six months have really been the highlight of my life, even though it has just been pretty uneventful, “normal” life filled with days of working, exercising at the gym and hanging out with my friends. On the other hand, I feel that living in cycles of six months really suit me well. I spent six months in Finland last year, then I came to Melbourne for six months and now it is again exciting to do something else for the next six months.
What will that be then?
Adelaide
At the end of this week I’m flying to Adelaide to stay near the beach at a nice heritage building dating back from 1878. Can’t wait.
Uluru
Sleeping under the stars and waking up with this magnificent view is something to really look forward to.
Melbourne
And yes, after my trip to Uluru and Alice Springs, I come to Melbourne for a couple of nights. My lovely boss has given me free accommodation for 7 days so I’m just going to enjoy my time and try to get some energy for my next trip.
Perth
Next I’m going to Perth for three nights. I haven’t ever been to this capital of Western Australia so all the tips and recommendations are appreciated.
West coast / Broome
I’ve always believed that remote West coast is more of my thing than the popular, backpacker populated East coast, and finally this dream of mine will come true!
Finland
Yes, then it is time to go home. My plan is to enjoy Finnish summer, the company of my family, the nightless nights, nature and traditional Finnish food. Recently, I’ve also been planning of doing something that has been on my bucket list for a long time, a road trip /interrail in Europe.
So adventures do not end with Australia.
