My sister’s wedding at Lillan Hotel Café Butik

We had the most wonderful Friday celebrating my sister’s and her fiancé’s wedding. The small ceremony was held at the first boutique hotel in Tampere, Lillan Hotel. We had a photoshoot at a Milavida palace and in the surrounding park – and had luck with the weather!

Hotelli Lillan as a wedding venue

I have read good reviews of Lillan. The hotel is located a few kilometres outside the town centre in Viinikka’s wooden house suburb. The boutique hotel houses also Lillan Kök restaurant serving fine dining-style food made from local produce. During the corona spring and summer, they will also host barbeque evenings in their garden. They also have a superb breakfast available also customers who are not staying at the hotel.

We had reserved the cabinet which was beautifully decorated by the restaurant staff. It was a perfect, quite intimate space for our small family gathering, and you could close the doors during speeches and the wedding dance.

The food

Lillan Kök offers dishes that have Scandinavian subtle flavours. Hay-smoked potatoes, lamb and bass with cabbage were my favourites of the evening. The service was top-notch, relaxed as it is here in Finland, but very professional and attentive.

Love in the air

After one year of constant bad news about the pandemic, it was so nice to finally gather together and celebrate love. It gives you hope that soon life can go back to normal and we can finally meet up, celebrate, be together, hug, be close to one another. For our small gathering of ten persons, Lillan Hotel was a perfect venue.
