A couple of days ago I returned to Finland and started a new chapter in my life. I gave my old home country a second chance. Once Finland felt so small, depressing and not open-minded at all and I graved for an opportunity to leave. A couple of years abroad and I look at Finland with fresh, more understanding eyes. I have fully enjoined this, sitting outside in the mornings, picking fresh berries from our backyard, having the privacy of my own home. Finland is not perfect, what country really is. At least for now, I would not rather be anywhere else.
I also gave studying a second chance. I read through all the brochures I got from my university and filled my calendar with lectures dates and times. I even managed to get the student card that had been waiting for me for over a year. The more I think about going to university, having the chance to educate and better myself and meeting my future classmates, the more excited I am. Journalism, we will meet soon!
The last but not the least, I decided to go for one of my dreams and started a company! I wish to do some content creating and translation work during my studies for now. Hopefully, I will be able to grow it into a fulltime job one day. Both of my parents have been entrepreneurs for more than 35 years and they have been really supportive of my plans. I don’t know what is going to happen, but this has been a chance I have wanted to take for some long. Life doesn’t wait so better just go for it.
I feel happy, excited and grateful. I can’t wait to see what the future in Finland holds.
Have a great day everyone!
