Well, the 5-hour transit time in Frankfurt was not all pleasure, nor the fact that I was in my hometown, Tampere, at 4 am. I was dead tired then, struggling to keep my eyes open. Three nights of solid eight hours of sleep can do wonders. I feel rested and relaxed. I could not believe that I say this but the dark nights of Finnish winter is exactly what I need right now.

I have had time to wander around Tampere. I have done last minute shoppings, tried out new restaurants, visited the one and only cafe Europa, seen the Tampere Christmas market and of course enjoyed the Christmas lights and snowy scenery. I have spent time with my friends and family. I have even managed to see the Finnish movie of the year, The Unknown Solder. Indeed, there is no place like Home.

At this point, it is time to stop all the hustle and bustle. Let the calmness and relaxing feeling come. Enjoy the magic of this winder wonderland. Let go of all the stress, worrying, personal crises and everything that does not really matter. Now, I can just be.

Enjoy these last days of the year with your family and loved ones, no matter where you are <3
